Year's Final H1N1 Vaccine Clinic Open to KU Faculty, Staff and Students


Flu ClinicThe free doses will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis but officials say there is no need for people to line up early.

To be eligible for the H1N1 vaccine, faculty, staff, students and affiliate employees must show their KU Cards and be

— 24 years of age or younger or
— 25 to 64 with certain medical conditions, such as asthma and diabetes, that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications

KU recommends pregnant women see their obstetricians for the H1N1 flu vaccine. Before coming to the H1N1 clinic, it is recommended that patients download and complete a vaccine consent form at the student health website.

Nearly 1,100 doses of H1N1 vaccine were distributed at student-only clinics Nov. 6 and Nov. 20 on campus. Approximately 1,700 doses will be available on Friday.
