Derek Zomer

Derek Zomer is the Undergraduate Programs Coordinator for the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In this role, he works closely with Jayhawk Academic Advising to ensure students are on the right track for graduation, helps with the accreditation process, and is available to assist any of the 1000+ undergraduate students in the department. You will also see him teaching a UNIV 101 course during the Fall semester. Derek holds a B.S. in Communication Studies and Psychology and an M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of South Dakota. Prior to his role at KU, he taught a variety of college-level speech communication courses and worked in university recruiting and marketing.
