We're thrilled to announce that the research team led by Professor Esam El-Araby has received the Best Poster Award at the Quantum Computing User Forum (QCUF) 2025 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory—marking our third consecutive win at this prestigious event.

Their work introduces a scalable quantum algorithm for solving complex multidimensional partial differential equations (PDEs) across domains like fluid dynamics, finance, and heat transfer. Demonstrating higher accuracy and faster execution than traditional methods, the approach has been validated on quantum simulators and IBM hardware—bridging theory and practice in a leap toward real-world quantum applications.

Under the guidance of Professor El-Araby, the EECS department continues to push the boundaries of quantum computing innovation. This award not only reflects technical excellence but also underscores the department’s commitment to pioneering research at the intersection of quantum algorithms and applied science.

Congratulations to the team on this impressive achievement—and here's to another year of breakthroughs!
