EECS Student, Professor Paper Receive Best Paper Award
A paper by Patrick G. Clark and Professor Jerzy W. Grzymala-Busse was one of five papers selected as "Best Papers" at the International Conference on Advances in Databases, Knowledge, and Data Applications, DBKDA 2015. The paper titled “On the Number of Rules and Conditions in Mining Incomplete Data with Lost Values and Attribute-Concept Values” deals with the handling of missing information in data mining. This award was based on the reviews of the original submission, the camera-ready version, and the paper presentation.This conference is part of a series of international events covering a large spectrum of topics related to advances in fundamentals on databases, evolution of relation between databases and other domains, data base technologies and content processing, as well as specifics in applications domains databases. The conference included contributions from academic, research and industrial organizations. For the awarded papers, a digital award will be issued in the name of the authors. The authors of these papers will also receive invitations to submit an extended article version to one of the IARIA Journals.
