EECS Assistant Professor Lingjia Liu was quoted in the article “Korean Telecos Advance Toward LTE-Advanced” in IEEE Spectrum. Dr. Liu, an expert in wireless communication, called the upgrade in long-term evolution-advanced (LTE- Advanced) technology a major achievement in the field. LTE operators have begun bolstering mobile networks to allow smartphones and other devices to support greater data capacity and more advanced applications, including high-definition video.
