KU Energy Club Announces Meeting Time
The KU Energy Club is having its first meeting of the semester from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25th, in the Spahr classroom. Pizza will be provided.
The KU Energy Club is a student run organization that aims to promote dialogue on regional and national energy topics. Each month, the club holds Monthly Energy Talks (MET's) that feature a presentation from one of several sponsors that the club has such as Black & Veatch and Westar Energy. At each MET, company representatives will talk about what they are doing for the future of energy and will be followed by a 20 minute Q&A session with students.
In February, the club will host its annual Energy Conference that will include industry and student discussion panels. It's a great way to learn about the most recent energy innovations, along with meeting industry leaders from multiple companies around the country.
