Garmin Scholarship
The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department is pleased to announce that applications for the Garmin scholarships are now being accepted. A Garmin scholar will receive $5000 per year for up to four years of undergraduate study provided he or she continues to make satisfactory progress toward an electrical engineering or computer engineering degree and continues to satisfy the scholarship criteria. This year, twelve scholarships will be awarded—three each at the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior levels. Freshman awards are for four years, three years for sophomores, two years for juniors, and one year for seniors. An applicant must:
- be majoring in electrical engineering or computer engineering, and
- have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.8 if an upperclassman or have composite and mathematics ACT scores of at least 30 and 32, respectively and a high school GPA of at least 3.8 if a freshman.

All students, including international students and current scholarship holders, who meet the above conditions are eligible to apply. A portion of the scholarship may be taxable if the student’s total scholarship package exceeds the cost of his or her tuition.
