EECS Students Sweep Senior-Level KU Math Prize Competition


Electrical Engineering and Computer Science students finished in the top three spots in the KU’s Mathematics Department 33rd annual Math Prize Competition in April 2015. Cash awards to the winners of this senior-level contest were presented at the Mathematics Department honors banquet April 21. The competition tests undergraduate students skills opportunity through a written exam that covers six questions to be completed within three hours. Cash awards were presented at the Mathematics Department’s honors banquet April 21, 2015. Senior-Level Competition results: First place: Sean Holloway, senior in electrical engineering from Mission, Kan. Second place: Yujie Deng, senior in computer science and mathematics from Wuhan, China. Third place: Robert Winslow, senior in computer engineering and mathematics from Olathe, Kan.
