EECS's Eta Kappa Nu has received an Outstanding Chapter Award for the 2013-2014.

KU’s Gamma Iota chapter of Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) has received an HKN Outstanding Chapter Award for the 2013-2014 school year.  HKN is an invitation-only honor society for Electrical and Computer Engineers in their junior and senior years.  The Gamma Iota chapter was selected on the basis of their strong involvement in departmental activities, including collaborating with the student chapter of IEEE during the Engineering Expo, sponsoring the Undergraduate Achievement Awards, and presenting the Harry Talley Excellence in Teaching Award.  Officers also participated in the annual HKN Student Leadership Conference.  The Gamma Iota chapter also won an Outstanding Chapter Award for the 2006-2007 school year.
