Lingjia Liu Receives NSF Funding for Wireless Research

November 20, 2014

Lingjia Liu has received NSF support for his research on understanding the fundamentals of energy-efficiency in delay-sensitive wireless communications. Dr. Liu and his students will conduct research to enhance our understanding of delay-sensitive communications using smartphones which depend upon advanced wireless systems and networks.  These wireless devices are an integral part of society and are currently used by over 95% of the global population.  The outcome of this project is expected to provide design guidance for future systems resulting in improved end user experience. In addition to global technological impact, this project will immerse students from various backgrounds in the exciting field of mobile wireless communications.
