Career Fair is Wednesday

September 11, 2009

Students meet with employer at Engineering and Computer Science Career Fair.

More than 70 companies will attend the Engineering and Computer Science Career Fair from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kansas Union Ballroom. The Engineering Career Centeroffers preparation tips and strategies for success. Additionally, it has a list of companies that will be attending the event.

Garmin design engineer Adam Lohoefener recommends all students, from freshmen to seniors, attend career fairs.

“The career fair is a great window for students to get a peek at what companies have to offer. There are so many different directions to go after graduation. The career fair provides insights on some of those opportunities,” says Lohoefener. “Also, for those students who aren’t looking for careers just yet, it is an excellent resource for internships, networking, and information.
