EECS User Accounts

All EECS students have an EECS account, seperate from their KU account, that is used to access EECS specific resources and services, such as:

  • An EECS email account
  • Accessing EECS computers
  • Logging into the EECS website
Since you will need your EECS account login information for many EECS courses, it is important that you activate your EECS account prior to the start of you first EECS course.

This account is created automatically once you have been accepted into the EECS department, but must be activated in person at the EECS Help Desk located in the Computing Commons on the main floor of Eaton Hall.

Your EECS email address will be used by EECS faculty and staff to communicate with you. This will require you to either check it regularly using the EECS Webmail Client, or have it forwarded to another email account that you check regularly.

For additional information about you EECS account, including how to forward your EECS email, visit the EECS Wiki.
